Researching your family tree (download this family tree brochure) can be a rewarding and exciting adventure.  There are many resources open to you to aid you in your search such as records held at probate courts, city and county records offices, churches, cemeteries, libraries, historical societies, and of course, the local health department.  We will help you search for possible family members in our birth and death records.  We ask that if you have more than five names that you are searching for, please e-mail a list to us, or fax to us at 330-723-9659.  Please include a phone number so that we may call you if we have any questions, or to let you know your records are ready.
A common question is whether or not it is possible to obtain uncertified copies.  Unfortunately, effective July 1, 2003, uncertified copies are no longer available in Ohio. At our office, you may view records and copy information from them; however, the certificate must be turned in after examination and is not permitted to leave the building.
