The purpose of the Well-Child and Adolescent Clinics is to provide preventive health services and ensure your child is healthy. Parents are provided with the necessary guidance and education for parenting and maintaining their childs good health.  Physical exams are recommended for your child throughout infancy, childhood and adolescence in order to identify health problems, such as growth, developmental, and behavioral concerns. Immunizations are administered as needed.   The Well-Child and Adolescent (Teen) Clinics serve persons birth up through 20 years of age (prior to the 21st birthday.)

Clinic services include:

  • Physical Exams (well-child, school/college entrance, adolescent reproductive health, sports, and work)
  • Age-appropriate Developmental Screening
  • Lead Screening and Testing (children 6 months through six years of age)
  • Immunizations
  • Extensive Anticipatory Guidance
  • Nutrition Assessment and Counseling
  • Behavioral Risk Assessment
  • Laboratory Tests (as needed)
These services are provided by a team of health care professionals consisting of certified pediatric nurse practitioners in collaboration with a physician, public health nurses, and a registered dietician.  Referrals are made to appropriate specialists for further evaluation and treatment when appropriate.  In addition, the adolescent clinic provides pregnancy prevention education and services, pregnancy testing, and confidential diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.

These services are partially funded by a grant from the Ohio Department of Health Child and Family Health Services Division.
