School Health Nursing

The Medina County Health Department Public Health Nursing Division is currently contracted to provide School Health Nursing services in Brunswick and Highland School Districts.  Our team of School Health Nurses work with school district staff to assure students health and well-being in the school environment.  Some of the services provided include:
  • state-mandated vision and hearing screenings with appropriate referrals, as needed.
  • assistance with medication management, treatments, and communicable disease control.
  • school nurse clinics.
  • staff and student health education.
  • evaluation of immunization records for compliance with State of Ohio requirements.  Click here for the current school year required immunizations.
